about D41A

D41A is an architectural design studio engaged in a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, office, hospitality, and interior design.

Based in the nature-rich coastal town of Zushi, the studio approaches design with a deep sensitivity to the surrounding environment and subtle transitions of the seasons that shape our daily experience.

We believe that perceiving the delicate nuances of nature and sensing how individual lives and local communities exist as part of the natural cycle, is essential to cultivating a rich and meaningful way of living.

Architecture, too, is nurtured through close dialogue with its environment and regional context.

Through a design based on careful research and rigorous simulation, we seek to articulate the inherent value of each place—its natural environment, cultural context, and history—and to foster organic and sustainable relationships between people and their surroundings.
